CONS:
- Requires heavy equipment to install
- Requires more substantial foundation to support the heavy steel point loads
- Not the most cost-effective option for small residential buildings
COLD-FORMED STEEL BUILDING
PROS:
- With proper care and maintenance this type of building is designed to last 50-100 years or more
- More cost effective for the right application than red iron buildings due to lower fabrication costs and installation requirements
